What is Colorism??

Colorism is defined as a form of prejudice or discrimination in which human beings of the same-race are treated differently based on the social meanings attached to skin color. Many people come in different shapes, sizes and color and obviously colorism focuses on the shade of color people come in. I choosed Colorism because I often see this happen amongest my friends and who they date. I could relate to this topic also because it also effects my friend's relationships with who they bring home to meet their parents. I am going to mainly focus my topic with how the media protrays people and what I see amoungst my friends.
